February 26th, 2009Shout out to Aunt Alice, Nana, D and Aunt Allison for coming to the show in Norfolk, VA. My Aunt Allison brought me her old guitar – it even has her old flowered guitar strap still attached! I really want to learn to play it and I am hoping that Stephanie Smith and Francesca Battistelli (from the tour) will give me some lessons backstage.
By the way, Francesca is up for New Artist of the Year so if you get a chance, vote for her online at:

We are in Oklahoma City today and it is beautiful outside. We hope to go to Bricktown and get cinnamon lollipops. We got some at a local shop there last year and they are yummy!!! After the show we might go see the Oklahoma City Memorial. We went late at night last year and it was very moving. There are rows of chairs with lights shining on them – one for each person killed in the office bombing. The children that were killed in the daycare center in the building are represented by smaller chairs. The gates on each side of the Memorial show the time 9:01 (before the bombing) and 9:03 (after the bombing). The bombing occurred at 9:02 in the morning and after that the world was changed forever. Anyway, it really makes you appreciate life and how quickly things can change.
Peace and love,
